Rantec Power Systems, Inc. is seeking an IT Specialist

Position Summary

The IT Specialist will be responsible for managing daily IT operations, including computer systems, networks, and user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and prioritize IT support requests.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Windows-based PCs.
  • Collaborate with System and Network Administrators for issue escalation.
  • Perform routine administration of computer systems and servers, including installation and maintenance.
  • Manage and configure Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Implement security measures such as antivirus and access controls.
  • Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Oversee multifactor authentication and remote access setups.
  • Monitor the overall health of the IT infrastructure.
  • Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Engage with vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Document IT processes and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support as necessary.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for users.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Windows systems and Office 365.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft credentials are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Group Policy, Active Directory, and data management practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Engagement in professional development and networking opportunities.

Compensation: $34.67 per hour
