Position Summary
The IT Specialist will oversee the daily management of IT-related tasks including computer, server, network, IP phone, surveillance systems, and Office 365 support.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and prioritize IT support requests.
- Diagnose and repair Windows PC issues.
- Collaborate with System and Network Administrators for escalation of tier 1 challenges.
- Conduct general administration for computers and servers, including installation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and configure Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Implement security measures such as antivirus, endpoint encryption, and access control.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Oversee multifactor authentication and remote access protocols.
- Monitor the health of the IT infrastructure.
- Supervise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
- Engage with vendors for the procurement and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Document IT processes and procedures.
- Provide on-call and weekend support as necessary.
- Design and conduct training programs for users.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with Windows-based systems, software, and Office 365.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft certifications are preferred.
- Familiarity with Group Policy, Active Directory, Data Recovery, and Data Retention.
- Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and effective communication.
- Capacity to research and resolve complex issues independently.
- Willingness to learn new skills and share knowledge with others.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Proficiency in both team-oriented and independent work settings.
- Commitment to professional development through educational opportunities and networking.
Compensation: $34.67 per hour
