COBRA Specialist Job Summary

The COBRA Specialist will provide exceptional service to clients and COBRA participants by administering COBRA benefits and resolving related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and professional service to internal and external customers
  • Communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person
  • Participate in new business implementation and process improvements
  • Respond accurately and promptly to all inquiries
  • Process qualifying events, participant terminations, and updates
  • Resolve COBRA administration service issues with internal staff and vendors
  • Advise COBRA participants on regulatory requirements and processes
  • Process premium payments and COBRA-related correspondence
  • Meet or exceed performance standards and participate in Open Enrollment planning
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required
  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of COBRA and federal regulations
  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, HRIS, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
