Responsibilities

The Leave Management Specialist II serves as the key point of contact between Prime employees and management.

This position supports all facets of leave of absence, ensuring adherence to relevant leave and disability regulations, including Pregnancy Disability Leave, Family and Medical Leave, Americans with Disabilities Act, California Fair Employment and Housing Act, and other applicable federal and/or state laws.

This includes investigating and resolving complex case escalations, involving direct interactions with employees, managers, and vendors.

Collaborates with HR, Benefits, and Payroll teams to deliver guidance and exceptional service to employees and managers regarding the leave process.



Qualifications

Required qualifications:
High school diploma is mandatory.


A minimum of four years of experience in Human Resources, specifically in leave management or a related generalist role, with at least three years focused on leave of absence administration for both continuous and intermittent leaves is essential.

Strong understanding of federal and state leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA/FEHA (including the interactive process), and HIPAA is required.


A general knowledge of employee benefits related to leave of absence, including short/long term disability, COBRA, and state disability pay is necessary.

Professionalism and confidentiality are imperative.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.

Preferred qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Experience in a healthcare setting and/or managing a high volume of leave responsibilities is advantageous.

Familiarity with Lawson, JBDev, or leave case management software is a plus.
