Position Overview:

We are seeking two temporary Customer Care Representatives for assignments lasting up to 18 months, with the potential for extension. This role is crucial in enhancing the experience of our clients by providing accurate and timely assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality in-person customer service, offering precise information regarding various programs and services.
  2. Interpret and clarify guidelines, directives, and procedures for clients.
  3. Assist customers in completing necessary documentation and utilizing public access workstations.
  4. Support clients facing challenges in accessing specialized information, directing them to the appropriate resources.
  5. Process transactions for both individual and business clients, ensuring all eligibility criteria are met.
  6. Handle payment processing, including issuing refunds and reconciling transactions.
  7. Maintain accurate records and electronic databases.
  8. Generate reports and correspondence as required.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Advanced oral proficiency in French, confirmed prior to hiring.
  • A valid class G driver's license for travel to various locations.
  • The ability to lift and transfer equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.

  • Ability to accurately calculate fees and maintain filing systems.

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet applications.

  • Experience in providing front counter customer service in a busy environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective public interaction.

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and determine appropriate actions.
  • Skill in understanding and addressing underlying customer needs.

Collaboration and Organizational Skills:

  • Flexibility to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.

Relevant Knowledge:

  • General understanding of government services and programs.
  • Ability to reference and apply relevant legislation and guidelines.
