About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Peer Support Specialist to join our team at ColumbiaCare Services. As a Residential Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges in our co-ed residential treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with new residents to provide a warm welcome and support them in feeling comfortable in their new environment
  • Engage in one-to-one conversations to build trust and rapport with residents
  • Facilitate peer groups to discuss recovery stories and challenges
  • Provide crisis de-escalation training and support

Requirements:

  • Personal experience with mental health challenges
  • Certified and Registered as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA)
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and safe driving record

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly wage of $24.00 per hour DOE/Credentials
  • Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired)
