We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Peer Support Specialist to join our team at ColumbiaCare Services. As a Residential Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges in our residential treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with new residents to provide a warm welcome and support them in feeling comfortable in their new environment
- Engage in one-to-one conversations to build trust and rapport with residents
- Facilitate peer groups to discuss recovery stories and challenges
- Provide crisis de-escalation training and support
- Personal experience with mental health challenges
- Certified and Registered as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA)
- Valid Oregon driver's license and safe driving record
- Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check
- A competitive hourly wage of $24.00 per hour DOE/Credentials
- Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired)
