Job Description

COMHAR, Inc. is a nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to providing health and human services that empower individuals, families, and communities to live healthier, self-determined lives.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Dietary Unit Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing all food service functions within the clubhouse, working closely with members and staff to plan, organize, and carry out daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate unit meetings to discuss tasks and volunteer assignments, ensuring member involvement and active support.
  • Collaborate with members and staff to plan and execute the Work Ordered Day (WOD), promoting member engagement and participation.
  • Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring the security of members, property, and equipment.
  • Manage food coupon accounts, monitor expenditures, and engage members in shopping trips.
  • Prepare breakfast and lunch daily, as well as meals on special occasions.
  • Perform placement management functions, including on-site job coaching and documentation.
  • Provide required documentation for Food Service Unit members, including progress reports.
  • Attend trainings and Clubhouse functions as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree with at least 2 years of experience in the mental health field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Servsafe Certification (or obtained within 60 days of hire).
  • Awareness of and adherence to COMHAR policies and procedures, including confidentiality, HIPPA, compliance, and personnel policies.
