Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating building maintenance-related issues and small-scale construction projects for the George I Sanchez Building.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend UT's building manager meetings.
  • Conduct daily facilities walk-throughs and report non-standard conditions, inspect the building for signs of damage or wear issues, cosmetic projects, and more.
  • Schedule regular building maintenance and janitorial services.
  • Plan and facilitate equipment and furniture moves.
  • Check all SZB classrooms and conference rooms for cleanliness and operation for daily use.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in General Studies with at least 6 years of custodial maintenance work or related building services and at least 2 years of Supervisory Experience.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience at the University of Texas or in a university setting.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to safety rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
Estimated Salary

$52,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
