Assistant Manager, Building Services Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating building maintenance-related issues and small-scale construction projects for the George I Sanchez Building.
Duties and Responsibilities- Attend UT's building manager meetings.
- Conduct daily facilities walk-throughs and report non-standard conditions, inspect the building for signs of damage or wear issues, cosmetic projects, and more.
- Schedule regular building maintenance and janitorial services.
- Plan and facilitate equipment and furniture moves.
- Check all SZB classrooms and conference rooms for cleanliness and operation for daily use.
- Associate's Degree in General Studies with at least 6 years of custodial maintenance work or related building services and at least 2 years of Supervisory Experience.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Experience at the University of Texas or in a university setting.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to safety rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
$52,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
