Job Summary

As a Maintenance Worker with the Texas State Government, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and other public areas. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean, repair, and maintain roads, bridges, and other public areas
  • Construct, maintain, and replace water or sewer mains and service lines
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair failures in water and sewer mains
  • Build and adjust manholes and clean-outs

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
