Building Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary
As a Maintenance Worker with the Texas State Government, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and other public areas. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, repair, and maintain roads, bridges, and other public areas
- Construct, maintain, and replace water or sewer mains and service lines
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair failures in water and sewer mains
- Build and adjust manholes and clean-outs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license
Working Conditions
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to the outdoors. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is also required.
