Shifts Available: 11 p.m. - 7 a.m., 3 p.m. - 11 p.m., 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Full-Time, Part-Time)

We are seeking dedicated Patient Care Technicians (PCT) to become integral members of our compassionate care team. At Athena Health Care Systems, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality support to our residents.

Compensation: $21 to $26 per hour based on shift, with additional pay differentials for evenings, overnights, and weekends. We offer weekly pay to ensure financial stability.

Role Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Technician is to deliver essential daily nursing care to assigned residents, adhering to established care protocols and under the guidance of licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid and unencumbered PCT license or be in the process of obtaining one.
  • CPR certification and prior experience in long-term care settings are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Newly certified PCTs are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
  • Engage in the development and implementation of care plans for residents.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor changes in resident conditions and report them promptly.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation.
  • Assist residents with personal grooming and hygiene needs.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and ensure accessibility for residents.
  • Keep resident care areas clean and organized.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents and their families.
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Able to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Capable of interacting tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
  • Possess patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, especially when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Willingness to learn and implement new nursing practices.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation practices.
