We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Lowell General Hospital. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our surgical team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, providing the necessary instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain the Operating Room, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
- Participate in surgical counts, manage intraoperative medications, and follow hospital policies for specimen handling.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and emergency preparedness efforts.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a training program for surgical technology or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
