The Amorem Hospice seeks a skilled Volunteer Coordinator to oversee the volunteer program, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers, as well as coordinating community events and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement effective strategies to engage and retain volunteers, fostering a sense of community and ownership among team members.
  • Volunteer Management: Supervise and mentor volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful placements and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Community Outreach: Collaborate with local organizations and businesses to promote Amorem Hospice services and develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for volunteers, focusing on skills development, patient interaction, and confidentially.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance, tracking hours worked, and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in human services, preferably in volunteer management or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications: Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
