Assembler I 2nd Shift

Trail King Industries is seeking a skilled Assembler I 2nd Shift to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accessorizing trailers in the final stages, ensuring they meet customer specifications and Trail King standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install Trailer Parts: Install all parts on all trailers and assemblies not installed prior to painting.
- Tire Installation and Torque: Install tires on trailers per order and torque down all wheels with a nut runner as per specifications.
- Decal and Stripe Installation: Install stripes, company decals, informational, and safety decals as specified.
- Order Verification: Verify each order for each customer specification on equipment required.
- Paint Touch-up: Touch up paint with aerosol spray cans and quart cup guns as needed.
- Brake Adjustment: Adjust brakes as directed.
- Hazardous Materials Handling: Handle, store, and dispose of all hazardous materials properly.
- Standard Work and Procedures: Follow standard work and procedures.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment and tools required to perform job duties, including overhead cranes, forklifts, air tools, and more.
- Respirator Use: Use a respirator when performing paint touch-up.
- Pulmonary Function Test: Pass a pre-employment and annual pulmonary function test (PFT) with acceptable results.
- Physical Demands: Move around, on, and underneath trailers using a creeper, and handle tires and torque wrenches.
- Decking Material Installation: Accurately cut and install decking material on trailers.
- Measuring Tool Accuracy: Use measuring tools and devices accurately.
- Basic Math Skills: Apply basic math skills with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills.
- Instruction Following: Possess the ability to read and follow instructions.
- Shift Work: Work up to a 12-hour shift.
- Flexible Hours: Willing to fluctuate hours to accommodate needs.
- Physical Demands: Stand, kneel, walk, sit, climb, bend, and twist; use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Lifting and Moving: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Visual Requirements: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment: Exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, and near moving machinery.
- Hazardous Waste Management: Upon initial assignment to an area where hazardous waste will be handled, training on management of hazardous waste must be conducted within six months of start date.
- Annual Training: Annual training is required for management of hazardous waste, including a review of the company contingency plan.
