Assembler I 2nd Shift

Trail King Industries is seeking a skilled Assembler I 2nd Shift to join our team. As an Assembler I 2nd Shift, you will be responsible for accessorizing trailers in the final stages of production, ensuring they meet customer specifications and Trail King standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install Trailer Components: Install all parts on trailers and assemblies not installed prior to painting, including tires, stripes, and decals.
- Tire Installation and Torque: Install tires on trailers per order and torque down all wheels with a nut runner as per specifications.
- Paint Touch-up and Repair: Touch up paint with aerosol spray cans and quart cup guns as needed, and adjust brakes as directed.
- Hazardous Materials Handling: Handle, store, and dispose of all hazardous materials properly, and complete annual training on hazardous waste management.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment and tools required to perform job duties, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and air tools.
- Respirator Use: Use a respirator when performing paint touch-up, and pass a pre-employment and annual pulmonary function test (PFT) with acceptable results.
- Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment, standing, kneeling, walking, sitting, climbing, bending, and twisting, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Measuring and Math Skills: Ability to use measuring tools and devices accurately, and apply basic math skills with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills and the ability to read and follow instructions.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift, fluctuate hours to accommodate needs, and perform duties in a physically demanding environment.
While performing duties of the job, the employee is exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust, fumes, and is near moving machinery. Annual training is required for management of hazardous waste, including a review of the company contingency plan.
