Key Responsibilities:
As a Human Resources Specialist at dnata, you will play a vital role in enhancing operational efficiencies to foster a productive workforce. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting daily HR operations and functions.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance with employment laws.
- Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes, including I-9/E-Verify compliance.
- Maintaining personnel files and ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Facilitating employee relations through coaching and counseling.
- Conducting investigations into employee complaints.
- Assisting with payroll-related inquiries.
- Providing information regarding company policies to employees.
- Administering benefits and managing leave of absence requests.
- Responding to employee inquiries and requests.
- Conducting audits of HR programs and payroll, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Assisting with the termination process and conducting exit interviews.
- Managing airport badging and background checks.
- Adhering to the Stations Attendance Policy.
- Performing other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or two to three years of equivalent experience.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license and necessary FAA/Airport identification.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- General understanding of Windows and web browsers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience in an HR Coordinator or similar administrative role.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to handle confidential information with appropriate care.
- Commitment to providing friendly and prompt customer service.
