Your Role at BHSN

We are seeking a skilled Substance Clinician to join our team at BHSN, a leading provider of whole person care in the region. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work in our licensed OASAS outpatient clinic, serving individuals aged 13 and above with substance use concerns.

Our approach is centered around a harm reduction model, where you will work collaboratively with clients to identify triggers and develop personalized recovery plans. You will provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients in their recovery journey.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct clinical treatment, including individual, family, and group therapies, as well as crisis intervention.
  • Conduct initial evaluations and identify critical impairments to inform effective treatment planning.
  • Offer unscheduled and emergent services as needed for walk-in, open-access, and crisis clients.
  • Document all aspects of the evaluation and treatment process to ensure patient care, treatment coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Your Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work, and a strong preference for licensure (LMHC-P, LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW). Experience providing direct clinical services to the population served by our clinical program is highly valued. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation for local and regional travel.
