BHSN is seeking a passionate and dedicated Substance Clinician to join our team at our licensed OASAS outpatient clinic. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work with individuals aged 13 and up who are struggling with substance use concerns, utilizing a harm reduction model to support their recovery.

Our team at Center for Recovery uses a comprehensive approach, incorporating individual, group, and family therapy to help clients achieve their recovery goals. We focus on identifying triggers, working towards relapse prevention, and providing a supportive environment for our clients to thrive.

Your Day-to-Day

As a Substance Clinician, your day will be filled with providing direct clinical treatment, including individual, family, and group therapies, as well as crisis intervention. You will conduct initial evaluations, identify critical impairments, and develop effective treatment plans. You will also provide unscheduled and emergent services as needed, documenting all aspects of the evaluation and treatment process to ensure patient care and regulatory compliance.

Your Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work, and a valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation for local and regional travel. Experience providing direct clinical service to the population served by the assigned clinical program is strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
