Mechanical Assembly Job Description

At Wide Effect Talent Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, testing, and adjusting custom mechanical assemblies using various techniques and referring to shop drawings and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and modify custom mechanical assemblies using hand and power tools.
  • Test and adjust assemblies to ensure proper function and quality.
  • Use various assembly techniques and refer to shop drawings and instructions.
  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
  • Examine parts/components for damage and defects, notify supervisor if found.
  • Clean equipment and work area, perform duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Lifting to 75 pounds may be required.
  • Read and understand blueprints, drawings, wiring diagrams, mechanical prints, assembly, and schematic drawings.
  • Fasten, align, and mount parts, components, relays, using hand and power tools.
  • Route and terminate cables.
  • Attach hardware using nuts, bolts, rivets, screws, or other methods.
