Senior Lead Analyst, Risk Appetite Management

The Senior Lead Analyst for Risk Appetite is a seasoned expert who diligently monitors emerging trends within the field and applies them effectively to enhance business operations. This role requires extensive experience in various dimensions of non-financial risk management. Exceptional communication skills are essential for negotiating at senior levels within the organization. The analyst is expected to exercise advanced judgment and perform comprehensive quantitative or qualitative analyses to address challenges and devise innovative solutions. This position holds significant influence over enterprise-level decisions and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide oversight for both Risk Appetite & Metrics and Risk Appetite Assessment functions, focusing on non-financial risks at both the enterprise and business unit levels. The aim is to foster continuous improvement by delivering insightful and actionable risk appetite assessments conducted by risk category teams and business units.
+ Formulate strategic recommendations for senior management on critical initiatives, including enhancements to risk appetite and assessment processes within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
+ Facilitate communication with key stakeholders across both enterprise and business levels.
Qualifications:
+ Over 10 years of experience in the Financial Services sector.
+ More than 7 years of experience in at least one aspect of non-financial risk management, including both second-line and first-line functions relevant to this area.
+ Proficient in translating data and metrics from diverse sources to create clear and concise executive presentations. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to garner support from a wide range of stakeholders through strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of navigating a complex matrix organization while demonstrating flexibility and resilience in the face of challenges.
+ Cultivates a collaborative and team-oriented culture across organizational boundaries, willing to dismantle business and functional silos to achieve optimal results.
+ A proactive thinker with a broad perspective, self-motivated, and comfortable operating amidst ambiguity.
+ Possesses organizational savvy, understanding systems and management processes, knowing where to find information and how to interpret it. A pragmatic problem solver and forward thinker with independent thought.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
+ A Master’s degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
