Position Overview:

The Senior Risk Analyst and Tableau Developer is a pivotal professional who diligently monitors emerging trends in the field and integrates them into their role and the organization. This position is typically held by a select few individuals within the organization who possess a similar level of expertise. Exceptional communication skills are essential for negotiating at senior levels within the company. Advanced communication and diplomatic skills are necessary to guide, influence, and persuade others, particularly colleagues from different departments and occasional external clients. This role is accountable for substantial direct business outcomes or authoritative counsel regarding operational strategies. It requires a significant degree of responsibility over technical direction and primarily impacts a specific sub-function. Additionally, this role involves managing personnel issues, including resource management and task allocation within the team or project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development of the Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) by collaborating with risk and business stakeholders, as well as IT teams, to outline business requirements and identify data sources for stress exposure, stress losses, stress loss drivers, stress loss change explanations, and sensitivity analysis across various risk categories, including wholesale, counterparty credit risk, retail, and market risk.
  • Engage with risk and business stakeholders to document business requirements, pinpoint key data attributes, and develop pertinent tools and dashboards to support the Global Systematic Stress Testing program.
  • Work alongside business stakeholders and IT teams to create comprehensive project plans and timelines, ensuring that project deliverables meet established standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Design and develop Tableau-based visualization dashboards and tools to analyze risk exposures, stress losses, stress loss attribution, and sensitivity across risk categories.
  • Create and manage risk dashboards and tools in Tableau to support enterprise risk metrics and analytics.
  • Oversee project timelines, including development plans, milestones, tasks, and dependencies on other systems or developments; provide regular project updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field such as science, finance, or engineering is required.
  • Over 10 years of experience in management consulting and risk management within financial institutions. Experience with stress testing is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product and risk management across all risk categories, including wholesale, retail, counterparty credit, and market risk.
  • Strong change management skills and the ability to drive infrastructure and IT developments; familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall) and project management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex risk information to a diverse audience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing analytical tools, data visualization dashboards, and risk reports using Tableau.
  • Proficient in user experience design with Tableau; extensive experience with large datasets, complex calculations, and performance optimization in Tableau.
  • Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational databases; familiarity with big data and data warehousing concepts and technologies.
