Pre Vocational Instructor

We are seeking a skilled Pre Vocational Instructor to join our team at the West Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area. As a Pre Vocational Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing instruction to clients in activities designed to help develop and increase skills in various areas, including personal hygiene, grooming, leisure time, daily living skills, social relationships, pre-vocational skills, community awareness, occupations, and good health practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Instruct program participants in life and pre-vocational skills.
- Participate in client assessments, planning, and evaluations to develop a program plan that meets the needs and wants of clients.
- Responsible for break and lunch duty to ensure the safety and well-being of participants.
- Complete daily schedules of lesson plans for each class, including activities, time frames, and clients participating.
- Work directly with clients in the classroom, directing and participating in all instructional activities.
- Turn in data at the end of each week, including weekly lesson plans, attendance, and billing hours for each client.
- Quarterly progress reports as assigned.
- Contact supervisor regarding any incidents, behaviors, accidents, or illnesses.
- 1 year experience preferred supporting adults with intellectual developmental disabilities.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have an Arkansas Driver's License.
- Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to keep accurate, current records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, be flexible, helpful, follow instructions, and be a viable team player.
