Job Summary:The Day Program Instructor Caregiver will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to person-centered care, advocacy, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement daily routines and activities that promote the health, safety, and well-being of clients.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.
- Support clients in vocational and leisure activities, promoting their independence and self-advocacy.
- Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes, ensuring that individualized plans are implemented and reviewed regularly.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless delivery of services and high-quality care.
- 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a California Driver's License.
- Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check.
- Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
