Day Program Instructor

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Program Instructor to join our team. As a Day Program Instructor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Job Summary:The Day Program Instructor will be responsible for creating and implementing daily routines for clients, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of residents. You will also serve as an advocate for our clients and participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement daily routines for clients, including visual and active supports
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathroom needs and meal preparation
- Support clients with daily living and vocational activities
- Pick-up and drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary)
- Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes
- Input all client notes into computer programs and review IPP goals with supervisors
- Attend regular staff meetings and participate in continuing education and training
- 1 year experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a California Driver's License
- Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check
- Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire)
- Must have First Aid / CPR
