Job Summary

The District Manager is a key leadership role responsible for leading sales teams to achieve top performance and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage sales teams, ensure customer satisfaction, and enforce safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Coach Sales Teams: Guide sales teams to achieve top safety standards and performance.
  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Provide exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and problem resolution.
  • Champion Safety Measures: Enforce safety standards through meetings and strict enforcement.
  • Maintain Selling Skills: Enhance selling skills and product knowledge for staff.
  • Enforce Company Policies: Aid in customer service, address performance issues, and enforce company policies.
  • Support Branch Manager: Assist in hiring, training, and managing employees.
  • Assist Outside Sales Reps: Prepare sales data, forecast for leadership, and manage budget.
  • Manage Budget and Expenditures: Oversee budget, monitor fiscal performance, and control expenditures.
  • Oversee Paperwork and Inventory: Handle paperwork, inventory, pricing, and profitability.
  • Handle Personnel Matters: Manage personnel matters and facility upkeep.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Industry Experience: 7+ years in welding and/or sales, preferably both.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer usage.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, adept at managing personnel.
  • Sales Team Management: 3+ years of successful sales team management with growth.
  • Track Record: Track record of achieving double-digit annual sales growth.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, self-motivation, organizational skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical and financial reporting abilities.
  • Prioritization Skills: Effective prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Public Speaking: Moderate to excellent public speaking capabilities.
  • Numerical Skills: Numerical proficiency for practical applications.
  • PC Skills: Strong PC skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: Negotiation and selling prowess.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Flexible schedule for customer and management needs.
  • Physical Demands: Physical capability to lift 25-75 lbs., work independently under pressure, and interact with diverse personalities.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license, insured personal vehicle.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in a drug-free environment.
