POSITION SUMMARY
- Due to Department of Defense (DOD) contract stipulations, candidates must be US citizens and successfully complete a background verification.
This role is integral to the Mainframe Sub-Systems Support team, primarily responsible for maintaining a robust and reliable Db2 environment.
The incumbent will take a pivotal role in complex initiatives to investigate, assess, design, and develop IT Infrastructure systems, utilizing engineering principles and design theories to create a compatible system infrastructure aligned with organizational objectives.
The role involves leading the design, development, and execution of IT Infrastructure components, including operating systems, software tools, and utilities.
The individual will also spearhead in-depth studies of IT Infrastructure performance and traffic analysis.Additionally, the position entails determining intricate systems design requirements and ensuring successful implementation and monitoring of system enhancements to boost efficiency.
The role may include generating comprehensive IT Infrastructure engineering policies, standards, and procedures, with opportunities to mentor junior team members.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure stable and secure support for DB2 V12
Manage product installation and maintenance (SMP/E)
Conduct performance analysis, tuning, and customization
Possess a thorough understanding of all DB2 related Program Products (Third Party Vendor Products)
Collaborate on DB2 Logging and System Recovery/Disaster Recovery
Exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities
Research and evaluate new technologies for potential implementation
Perform change inspections; assess associated risks and readiness for execution
Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Due to Department of Defense (DOD) contract stipulations, candidates must be US citizens and successfully complete a background verification.
3-5 years of experience in Information Technology
Preferred
15+ years of experience with IBM z/Series mainframe
Minimum of 10 years' experience as a z/Series Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer
Familiarity with DB2 Data Sharing
Prior experience supporting IBM z/Series Mainframes configured in a parallel sysplex environment
RACF experience
Knowledge of JCL, IBM Utilities, Omegamon, MQ, and CICS
Able to work off-hours and weekends as scheduled, with 24x7x365 on-call responsibilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze and resolve issues swiftly

Pay Range Minimum:
$67,500.00
Pay Range Maximum:
$124,800.00
Base pay is determined by various factors, including a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, along with internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.
The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential that may apply for certain locations based on comparative markets.
