The Accounts Receivable Analyst plays a vital role in managing customer accounts and ensuring timely collections. This position is crucial for providing exceptional support to clients, sales teams, and internal departments while maintaining an accurate accounts receivable portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle inquiries from both external and internal customers through various communication channels in a dynamic and complex environment.
• Proactively collect overdue invoices by reaching out to customers through phone, email, or online platforms.
• Reconcile intricate accounts and assist in resolving customer disputes efficiently by collaborating with different departments regarding billing issues.
• Demonstrate advanced organizational, technical, and communication skills to prioritize and address customer concerns effectively.
• Conduct daily and monthly account reconciliations, including maintaining cash logs and spreadsheets.
• Process customer payments received via credit cards and work closely with the centralized cash application team.
• Review and prepare customer refunds for duplicate or erroneous payments.
• Generate weekly aging reports and prioritize accounts based on their overdue status.
• Evaluate accounts for credit releases and negotiate payment plans as necessary.
• Mentor and train new team members on daily operational tasks.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in accounts receivable processes, cash application, collections, invoicing, and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with EDI, write-offs, deductions, reconciliation, and SAP systems is essential.
Additional Qualifications:
This role requires strong relationship-building skills with customers and the ability to manage diverse billing structures across various business groups. The analyst will engage with a substantial customer base, requiring strategic account management and effective communication to enhance the customer experience.
