Job Overview:

David's Bridal, LLC is seeking a talented Alterations Service Excellence Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in delivering an exceptional customer experience and ensuring the successful operation of our Alterations department.

About the Role:

The Alterations Service Excellence Specialist will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, welcoming and servicing them with genuine enthusiasm, and communicating clearly and concisely to meet their needs. This individual will also manage customer flow, meet service vows, and contribute to the store's achievement of Five-Star Customer Service.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all customers with friendly enthusiasm, communicating clearly and concisely to adapt style to suit customers' needs.
  • Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star customer experience.
  • Meet all service vows, including Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for all customers, and complete operational checklist tasks.
  • Provide exceptional service experiences to multiple customers at once, contributing to the store's achievement of Five-Star Customer Service.
  • Proactively address customer concerns with confidence, knowing when to escalate and partner with leadership.
  • Promote all alterations services and personalization options effectively.
  • Maintain store standards, including cleanliness, organization, and promotional readiness, to support a flawless shopping experience.
  • Greet and escort all alterations customers to and from alterations for appointments.
  • Press, steam, and spot clean all merchandise to high standards.
  • Follow quality control guidelines, inspecting garments altered/steamed/pressed to verify pristine condition before final delivery to customers.
  • Build long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and first-quality standards for all merchandise.
  • Support cash wrap behaviors, processing transactions with accuracy to make every customer feel celebrated.
  • Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager to address customer issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized alterations room.

Physical Demands:

  • This role requires occasional standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, reaching for tools and objects, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, bending, twisting, and standing. Manual dexterity is necessary for performing non-selling responsibilities, such as using POS terminals, counting money, steaming garments, accessing computers, and receiving or initiating telephone calls. Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds is required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment is preferred.
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful.
  • Prior experience with computerized POS systems is beneficial.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $16.20-$16.40 per hour, based on location and other factors.
