Position Overview:
As a key member of the Procurement team, you will report directly to the Director of Procurement. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement category strategies for designated materials or services, ensuring alignment with established procurement policies while achieving competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee assigned categories, driving strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with essential functions across the organization to jointly plan and execute sourcing strategies.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers to unlock cost-saving opportunities.
• Negotiate and formalize preferred supplier agreements, ensuring favorable terms.
• Direct cross-functional teams in sourcing projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyze market trends, cost factors, supplier business models, and historical spending to inform future negotiations.
• Provide comprehensive reporting on procurement positions, facilitating accurate volume estimates.
• Prepare Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP), conducting thorough analyses.
• Ensure that Conagra Brands' service and quality standards are consistently met, while fostering innovation and product enhancements.
• Proactively address supply chain challenges in collaboration with Operations and Brand teams.
• Resolve issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve cost savings.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess and report on performance.
• Guarantee service continuity for assigned categories by partnering with high-quality suppliers and overseeing their performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams within each operating group.
• Leverage advanced sourcing practices and provide leadership in adopting innovative technologies.
• Foster positive and productive relationships with a diverse range of suppliers and internal personnel.
• Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills to facilitate change within a complex organization.
• Implement supplier strategies utilizing industry modeling and relevant metrics across Conagra Brands.
• Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Procurement or a related field is required.
• Familiarity with procurement and strategic sourcing expectations and requirements is essential.
• Experience in the Food Industry is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
• Experience in executing complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
• Skills in material forecasting and supply/demand analysis are advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities to guide diverse teams.
• Experience in a complex, matrixed environment is beneficial.
• Proficiency in SAP, Right Angle, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI is a plus.
• This position requires in-office presence three days a week.
