Job Title: Procurement Agent

Job Summary:

The Procurement Agent is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services for Prairie Flower Casino. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to analyze market trends and identify potential suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services in accordance with the needs and budget of the property.
  • Research and analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and develop procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company Internal Controls and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases and contracts.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to establish and maintain positive relationships.
  • Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for inventory management.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure purchasing needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with budget planning and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record in accordance with Prairie Flower Casino policies.
  • Works the required schedule with some flexibility to meet the needs of a 24/7 business.
  • Ensures all safety standards are met and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.
  • Must maintain appropriate Gaming License.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of experience in a procurement role required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be computer-literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must have strong typing and 10-key skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and reports is necessary.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or questions from others within the company.
  • Ability to effectively present and explain information to others in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:

  • This position is in an office setting and requires the ability to be at a desk for the majority of the workday.
  • Uses hands to manipulate and sort documentation, paperwork and use office equipment, including keyboard and computer.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Infrequent lifting required up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Sound levels within the office are normally low. May be required to access the casino daily where the noise level in the work environment may be loud.
