Who we are seeking

The Model Office integration team at State Street Alpha is in search of skilled professionals with extensive expertise in integration, project oversight, analytical assessment, workflow design, data interpretation, system processes, and business architecture. This role is pivotal in executing, creating, and recommending comprehensive integration solutions for the Alpha platform. State Street Alpha merges our exceptional capabilities in data and analytics to enhance client service, with the model office serving as the cohesive environment for all Alpha components. As a member of the model office team, you will contribute to constructing the client’s end-state architecture, delivering insights and data solutions. We are looking for an individual capable of identifying innovative strategies to tackle complex challenges that necessitate both business and integration experience, enabling the identification of optimal solutions and the dissemination of actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Business Architect for Middle Office Integration, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the formulation of both business-as-usual and strategic initiatives to outline the Model Office roadmap aimed at achieving future objectives.
  • Possessing a solid understanding of various investment instruments, including equities, over-the-counter products, and debt securities.
  • Actively engaging in and executing assignments for large-scale and intricate business solution initiatives within the Model Office.
  • Supporting the development of strategies and plans to address resource constraints and fostering the maintenance of subject matter expertise within the business solutions team.
  • Advocating for best practices in business requirements analysis, tools, and controls to enhance processes and service quality.
  • Aiding in the development and upkeep of a comprehensive repository of business process workflow documentation.
  • Leading the creation of business case documentation and requirements analysis for the Model Office and potentially other ALPHA product teams.
  • Collaborating closely with Alpha initiatives to continuously refine our methodologies.
  • Partnering with Information Technology to ensure effective communication of business requirements, facilitating seamless implementation workflows.
  • Developing data and functional requirements while assisting in the creation of related estimates.
  • Participating in information delivery and business intelligence strategy discussions.
  • Conducting data analysis, profiling, and mapping across various interfaces.
  • Assisting in the development of conceptual and logical data models in alignment with appropriate business contexts.
  • Performing data gap analysis on complex financial datasets.
  • Utilizing analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking skills to enhance outcomes.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance or business management relevant to system administration.
  • Over 7 years of experience in the financial industry, encompassing front office functionality as well as middle (IBOR) and back office systems, services, and data domains.
  • Experience with integration involving other industry software providers to enhance platform interoperability is advantageous (e.g., CRD, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Factset, Fidessa Minerva, Eze Software, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and defect tracking tools (Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Azure and Snowflake.

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $177,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
