The Model Office integration team at State Street Alpha is in search of experienced professionals with a robust background in integration, project management, analytical thinking, workflow design, data analysis, system processes, and business architecture. The objective is to implement, develop, and recommend comprehensive integration solutions for the Alpha platform. State Street Alpha merges our exceptional capabilities in data and analytics to enhance client service, with the model office acting as the hub for all Alpha components to converge. As a member of the model office team, you will contribute to constructing the end-to-end architecture for clients, delivering insights and data solutions. We are looking for an individual who can discover innovative solutions to complex challenges that necessitate both business and integration expertise to identify optimal resolutions and communicate the recommended course of action.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Architect for Middle Office Integration, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the formulation of both routine and strategic initiatives to outline the Model Office roadmap aimed at achieving future objectives.
- Possessing a solid understanding of various investment instruments, including equities, over-the-counter products, and debt instruments.
- Actively participating in and executing assignments for large-scale and intricate business solution initiatives within the Model Office.
- Supporting the development of strategies and plans to address staff resource limitations and establishing plans for cultivating and maintaining subject matter expertise within the business solutions team.
- Advocating for best practices in business requirements analysis, tools, and controls to enhance processes and service quality.
- Aiding in the creation and ongoing maintenance of a repository for business process workflow documentation.
- Leading the development of business case documentation and requirements analysis for the Model Office and potentially other ALPHA product teams.
- Collaborating closely with Alpha initiatives to perpetually refine our methodologies.
- Partnering with Information Technology to ensure effective communication of business requirements for seamless implementation workflows.
- Developing data and functional requirements and assisting in the creation of related estimates.
- Engaging in information delivery and business intelligence strategy discussions.
- Conducting data analysis, profiling, and mapping across various interfaces.
- Contributing to the development of conceptual and logical data models in alignment with appropriate business contexts.
- Performing data gap analysis on complex financial datasets.
- Utilizing analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking skills to enhance outcomes.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in finance or business management for system administration.
- Over 7 years of experience in the financial industry, encompassing front office functionalities as well as middle (IBOR) and back office systems, services, and data domains.
- Experience with integration of other industry software providers to enhance platform interoperability is advantageous (e.g., CRD, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Factset, Fidessa Minerva, Eze Software, etc.).
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and defect tracking tools (Jira, ServiceNow).
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure and Snowflake is preferred.

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $177,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
