Credentialing Specialist

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Credentialing Coordinator to join our team. As a Credentialing Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of provider credentialing and privileging processes.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and monitor the credentialing and re-credentialing of providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Trinity Health policies.
- Facilitate all aspects of appointment, reappointment, and privileging maintenance for physicians and allied health providers.
- Collect and verify critical data to determine applicant eligibility for credentialing.
- Work closely with Trinity Health's Credentialing department to ensure files are completed and accurate.
- Evaluate and review applications for accuracy and completeness, gathering and verifying confidential healthcare provider credentials.
- Ensure all expirable credentials are reviewed, obtained, and managed on a monthly basis according to rules and policies.
- Monitor and report on renewal deadlines and lapses in credentials.
- Run procedure/case logs in EPIC and maintain a database of required credentials.
- Assist with department file reviews and Joint Commission audits.
- Act as a point of contact for all day-to-day administrative matters associated with the Primary Source verification process.
- Support the Chair of Credentials Committee and assist with facilitating monthly meetings and creating meeting materials.
- Work closely with Department Chairs/Chiefs to review files and assist the Medical Staff Office with day-to-day duties.
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education.
- Preferred: Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2-3 years of college.
- Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience.
