Phlebotomy Technician

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in New Milford, CT. As a Phlebotomist I, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.
Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
- Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
- Verify and confirm patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
- Enter data accurately and navigate computer systems to perform tasks.
- Collect payments and process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
- Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management, sanitizing, and filing.
- Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
