Job Description

Position Overview

Warren Recc is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented professionals to serve as Grassroots State Directors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading legislative operations within your state to equip our coalition of liberty legislators with the tools and tactics they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legislative Coaching and Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to in-state Hazlitt Coalition liberty legislators on effective tools and tactics for success at the capitol, including model legislation, face-to-face meetings, and amendment drafting.
  • Field Staff Management: Oversee door knocking teams and ensure efficient execution of legislative advocacy programs within the state.
  • Legislative Advocacy Programs: Manage and coordinate door knocking, phone banking, texting, direct mail programs, and other project components to maximize efficiency.
  • Bill Review and Coding: Review and code all Hazlitt Coalition-authored bills in the state using BillTrack50.
  • Investor Relations: Meet with in-state investors to educate them on Warren Recc programming and communicate the value of legislative operations in a given state.
  • Candidate Recruitment and Academies: Coordinate in-state Liberty Candidate Academies and candidate recruitment operations.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report weekly to the appropriate Regional Manager.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Google Suite and experience with BillTrack50, i360 preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in legislative advocacy.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of confrontational politics, grassroots mobilization, and candidate recruitment preferred.
