Job Title: Systems Integration Engineer

At Daimler Truck North America, we are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Reliability Growth Operations team, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving mechatronics and mechanical issues experienced in our reliability test fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with powertrain, mechatronics, cab, and chassis departments to identify and resolve root causes of issues
  • Document and analyze faults and failures to assist with root cause analysis
  • Perform work orders, part installs, inspections, repairs, maintenance, and scheduled service on Reliability Growth Operation test vehicles
  • Support vehicle updates, including individual parts updates per Product Validation Requests (PVRs)
  • Conduct mechanical repairs, carry out preventative maintenance services, and perform inspections on commercial vehicles, including engines and chassis
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree or Trade School Certification in Automotive or Diesel Technology
  • Minimum three years of experience in electrical systems repairs, maintenance, and servicing of commercial vehicles
  • Solid understanding and familiarity with commercial vehicle repair and service, with emphasis on drive train, cab, chassis, mechatronics, and electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of Heavy Duty and Medium Duty Detroit and Cummins engines and aftertreatment systems
  • Proficiency with DTNA's systems, such as DTNAPortal, ShopTech, PartsPro, ViewCad, Product Validation Portal, and Fleetio
