Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our Room Experience team in Portland, OR. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, managing, and commissioning integrated media solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, design, and implement Multimedia Audio Video (AV), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), Audio conferencing, and Video Display Systems (VDS) solutions.
  2. Work directly with clients, architects, and consultants throughout the design development and delivery process.
  3. Define system requirements, create bills of materials, and design conceptual drawings and labor estimates for multiple customer projects.
  4. Develop system design drawings, including audiovisual system diagrams, architectural diagrams, and operational capabilities narratives.
  5. Troubleshoot commercial system programming, provide onsite startup and debugging, and offer telephone support.
Requirements

We are looking for a strong team player with the following qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience in commercial AV design and large-scale AV implementation.
  • Working knowledge of low voltage communications systems in the fields of Analog and Digital Audio processing and standard and hi-definition video.
  • Experience with reviewing bid documents and evaluating equipment take-offs, design integrity, and wire take-offs.
  • Highly technical with the ability to evaluate situations and utilize logical and decisive reasoning.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in system design software such as D-Tools, Visio, or other similar software.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
Preferred Requirements

We prefer candidates with the following certifications and experience:

  • CTS, CTS-I, and CTS-D certifications.
  • Unified communications video system experience.
  • Cisco CUCM experience.
  • Networking and Firewall experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering conference rooms, Webcasting, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), and Streaming Video systems.
