Job Overview

The Maintenance Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the planning and execution of maintenance activities for a Combined Cycle Power Plant. This role encompasses preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, as well as special projects. The Coordinator will ensure that all maintenance operations align with safety regulations and efficiency standards, facilitating reliable electric power generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments to identify safety risks and maintenance needs, ensuring comprehensive documentation and understanding of work requirements.
  • Estimate labor requirements and project timelines for maintenance tasks.
  • Manage material procurement, ensuring availability of necessary resources for scheduled work.
  • Coordinate labor, tools, and equipment to prepare for maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain a backlog of work orders, tracking labor capacity to optimize scheduling.
  • Create weekly and long-term maintenance schedules for operational teams.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and analyze performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with various teams to address planning and scheduling challenges, providing management with performance reports and action item updates.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of eight years of experience in maintenance management within a commercial electric power generation environment is desired. Familiarity with CMMS, particularly Maximo, is advantageous.

Equivalent Experience: Candidates with a two-year technical degree and ten years of relevant experience, or twelve years of related experience, may be considered based on a combination of education and professional experience.

Work Environment: The position requires flexibility for unusual hours, as the plant operates continuously. The Coordinator may need to be on-call for incidents affecting plant operations.

Travel Requirements: Approximately 30% travel may be necessary.
