POSITION: CLINICAL PHARMACIST - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the Emergency Department (ED) is tasked with delivering comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across the ED and related areas, including Pediatrics, Trauma, and Urgent Care. This role encompasses pharmacokinetic assessments and therapeutic consultations.

In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined, the ED pharmacist may receive cross-training to support various pharmacy functions. These tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Medication order entry and verification
  • Preparation of clinical reports
  • Additional duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

BS Pharm or Pharm D is required. Advanced training such as residency, fellowship, or board certification is preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an Emergency setting is strongly preferred.

Licensure and Certification:
Must possess or be eligible for licensure as a registered pharmacist in Ohio. Current access to OARRS is required. Certification in CPR - BLS, ACLS, and PALS is mandatory.
