TerraCycle Australia & New Zealand General Manager

The General Manager of TerraCycle Australia & New Zealand is responsible for driving the company's growth and success in the region. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage all aspects of the business, including vision-setting, team management, brand, retail, operations, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own P&L responsibility, including overseeing the regional budget and ensuring stakeholders are held accountable to KPIs.
  • Manage and coach direct reports, inspiring performance and results.
  • Develop regional vision and strategy, facilitating collaboration among departments and lines of business.
  • Cultivate an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale.
  • Represent the company in front of strategic partners, clients, investors, and media.
  • Identify current and potential brand partners to sell and grow TerraCycle collection and recycling programs.
  • Drive productivity and efficiency of product operations.
  • Understand company and regional operational processes and strategies for storage and recycling.
  • Directly and persuasively communicate regional company updates and needs to the C-suite.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years' experience in agency, CPG, or retail.
  • 10+ years' experience in a senior management position.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and employees.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to set matrixed strategies, while also being adaptable to change.
  • Strong listening and cross-functional collaboration skills, across all levels.
  • Proven ability to execute complex projects and negotiations.
  • Timeline-driven with a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven record of managing large, diverse teams.
  • Inspirational public speaking skills and educated believer in sustainability.
  • Comfort and experience working in an entrepreneurial environment where innovation is a key to success.
