Job Title: Business Development Manager

Sanmina is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for developing and capturing business opportunities in the Defense and Aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to capture new and existing business opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the Defense and Aerospace industry
  • Assist in the development of long-term business and marketing strategies for Sanmina
  • Establish strategic business development initiatives, including program and M&A opportunities
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of government budget, budgeting, and procurement processes
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with customers, prime contract holders, and direct government
  • Understand Sanmina's offerings (communications products and/or manufacturing services) for vertical and horizontal integration and direct customers appropriately towards additional or alternative Sanmina products or services
  • Develop, maintain, and execute business development campaigns for the Tactical Business and/or integrated manufacturing services segment
  • Perform all necessary due diligence and market analysis required to assess the viability of proposed new product/service offerings prior to presenting them to Sanmina management for consideration
  • Track opportunities and conduct market intelligence
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 12 years of proven business development experience in the Defense and Aerospace industry
  • Military experience, while not an absolute requirement, is a plus
  • A current security clearance or eligibility/ability to obtain one is required
  • A technical background is a plus
  • Knowledge of electronic design, development, and manufacturing a plus
  • Strong business acumen developed through a combination of education and experience
  • Should be able to demonstrate relationship building skills and be comfortable interacting with professionals at all organizational levels
  • Solid negotiation skills are required for interaction with both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrate communication, presentation, and business writing skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Availability for travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, as needed
