Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Controller, the Gaming Revenue Compliance Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, internal control protocols, and organizational policies by conducting thorough audits across both gaming and non-gaming sectors. This position requires the utmost confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

The Auditor is tasked with guaranteeing that all financial activities are executed with precision and efficiency, in compliance with the applicable laws, regulations from the Gaming Commission, and established internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential to the role, though additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary:
  1. Conduct audits of all gaming and non-gaming operations in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  2. Engage with company staff to verify that all records are precise and comprehensive.
  3. Examine system documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  4. Communicate discrepancies to relevant departments through exception reporting.
  5. Maintain supporting documentation for future reference.
  6. Alert the immediate supervisor to any potential discrepancies and assist in problem-solving and resolution.
  7. Contribute to team objectives and achieve related outcomes as needed.
  8. May require availability during holidays, weekends, and evenings to meet deadlines.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
  • Experience in the gaming industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, tax regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to maintain focus for extended periods and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in computer operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a relevant gaming license.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Some college coursework in finance or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in Revenue Audit is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with accounting and office management software is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting complex instructions and dealing with various variables.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include regular communication, standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for various tasks. Occasionally, the role may require lifting up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment:

This position is typically performed in a fast-paced environment with exposure to cigarette smoke and moderate noise levels. The establishment promotes a drug-free workplace.
