Description

SUMMARY:

Under general direction of the Controller, the Revenue Auditor is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, internal control standards and company policies by performing daily audits on gaming and non-gaming areas. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

The Revenue Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities are performed accurately and efficiently, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and established policies, procedures and controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is a list of the main duties/responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management.
  1. Audit all gaming and non-gaming areas according to established procedures and gaming regulations as well as facilitates timely and accurate recordings.
  2. Communicate with company personnel to ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete.
  3. Review system documents for accuracy and completeness.
  4. Communicate with all departments of any discrepancies via exceptions.
  5. Maintain support documentation for further review.
  6. Notify immediate supervisor of any potential discrepancies and assists with research and resolution of problems.
  7. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  8. May be required to work holidays, weekends, and evenings to meet deadlines.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Gaming industry experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and effective public speaking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, tax rules and policies.
  • Ability to maintain concentration for extended periods of time and to handle multiple tasks and job duties simultaneously.
  • Proficient in computer usage
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Sac and Fox Nation Gaming License
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Some college courses in banking and finance or related area preferred.
  • Experience in Revenue Audit preferred.
  • Familiar with accounting, management and office software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to speak effectively before groups and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. At times lift up to 40lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
