Position Overview:
Sovah Health - Martinsville is actively seeking a dedicated PRN Respiratory Care Specialist Tier III to assess and treat patients with respiratory ailments. This role involves conducting diagnostic evaluations and collaborating with healthcare providers to formulate effective treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic tests and evaluate patients with breathing difficulties.
  • Consult with medical professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer various therapies and educate patients on the use of respiratory equipment.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as part of the cardiac arrest team.
  • Maintain and manage respiratory care supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and training for new staff members.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program and hold the necessary certifications to practice in Virginia. A minimum of 18 months of experience in a hospital setting is required for Tier III positions.
