Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in corporate meetings to review ongoing projects, financial strategies, and marketing initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with current clients while collaborating effectively with the Service and Construction/Special Projects teams.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Engage in outreach to potential customers to expand the client base.
  • Build rapport within client organizations, including facility managers and project coordinators.
  • Transform leads into actionable sales opportunities by assembling the right team and guiding the sales process.
  • Assess client requirements and evaluate company capabilities to meet those needs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of products and design standards necessary for promoting the department's services.
  • Achieve a consistent rate of new sales generation.
  • Estimate, design, and sell mechanical projects related to retrofitting, repairs, and replacements.
  • Prepare timely estimates and written proposals for clients.
  • Review all proposals with management prior to client submission.
  • Follow up with clients regarding the status of proposals.
  • Oversee submittals and ensure that all project materials are ordered and received as specified.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist office and field personnel with on-site challenges as needed.
  • Gather client feedback during and after project completion.
  • Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and piping systems for design and sales.
  • Familiarity with construction codes relevant to mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at logical problem-solving and information analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and related software for construction documentation.
  • Enthusiastic about business development and networking opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of state/local construction and Professional Engineer licenses is advantageous.
  • Experience in construction project management and estimating is preferred.
