Position Summary

Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Collaboration Programs, including Early Head Start, Head Start, and the CA State Preschool Program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Directs the planning, execution, and administration of collaboration programs in a center-based environment. Ensures adherence to legal and regulatory standards by staying informed on updates and requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Engages in continuous assessment of service quality, conducts onsite evaluations, and maintains communication with staff to ensure program compliance and effectiveness.
  • Policy Development: Formulates and maintains operational policies and procedures, fostering effective communication with families, staff, and community partners.
  • Professional Development: Organizes workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on child development and engagement strategies.
  • Leadership: Provides daily leadership to staff, ensuring a high-performance environment that meets educational objectives and family service expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Three years of relevant experience in regulated Child Development Programs.
  • Valid California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit within six months of employment.
  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Development principles and community resources.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently.
Physical and Mental Demands

This position requires regular standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to communicate effectively, analyze situations, and work under pressure.
