The Challenge:

The Program Manager for Engineering Initiatives serves as the primary contact for the program:

  • Accountable for project scope, timeline, and budget
  • Propel both the engineering team and cross-functional teams to meet program objectives.
  • Guide the team through the New Product Introduction lifecycle phases, including requirements, concept development, design reviews, verification & validation, and production release.
  • Facilitate program meetings, technical discussions, program evaluations, and gate reviews.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and mitigate program risks
  • Prioritize team activities to align with the program timeline
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve program targets.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with internal and external program stakeholders
  • Be capable of articulating technical challenges and risks to a non-technical audience
What Sets You Apart:

  • A BS/BA in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 8+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience as a program manager in hardware and software development
  • Strong planning capabilities, including defining requirements, time estimation, stakeholder engagement at each project phase, documentation, and testing
  • A broad engineering background sufficient to analyze design data across electrical, software, mechanical, and physical science disciplines. This role requires collaboration with subject matter experts to make design trade-offs regarding cost and performance.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with all internal and external contacts.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and innovative problem solver
  • US Citizenship is required
You Might Also Have:

  • PMP certification
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices
  • Experience collaborating with teams on product development of algorithms, imaging systems, or trace analysis systems, software, and network solutions
  • Hands-on design engineering experience in the development and production of electronic equipment for medical devices, government security, military applications, or similar fields
