Position Title: Security Services Associate

Division: Operations and Administration

Department: Security Services

Reports to: Security Services Director, Manager, and Supervisors

Compensation Range: $20.76

Position Summary:

The Security Services Associate is tasked with ensuring a safe and secure atmosphere for all personnel, guests, and property within the establishment. This role emphasizes delivering an outstanding experience that is both inviting and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while providing essential information to all visitors.
  • Engage with the public respectfully while enforcing organizational policies.
  • Regularly patrol designated areas to prevent vandalism, theft, or other safety concerns, remaining vigilant at all times.
  • Safeguard the premises against criminal activities, fire hazards, and safety risks during operational hours and special events.
  • Prepare exhibition items for daily activities and manage visitor flow to ensure seamless operations.
  • Respond to emergencies and manage challenging situations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary.
  • Report any suspicious activities or individuals, documenting incidents and conditions as required.
  • Provide escorts for individuals within the facility as directed.
Additional Duties:
  • Actively seek information about organizational policies and events to enhance customer service.
  • Familiarize oneself with the facility and community to offer accurate guidance to guests.
  • Utilize company vehicles as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Skills:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Experience in customer service or public-facing roles.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (bilingual is a plus).
  • Basic computer skills, including email and software navigation.
  • Strong observational skills and a friendly disposition.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
Experience:
  • At least one year of relevant experience in customer service.
  • Prior security experience in a public setting is preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in various settings, including prolonged periods of standing and walking. The role demands physical stamina to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and the capability to remain alert and engaged throughout shifts. The work environment may involve exposure to loud noises and visual stimuli.
