Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety and security programs to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards.
  • Design and direct a program to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards through safety-training of all managers, planned inspections, skill training, first-aid care, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, new employee indoctrination, physical protection, planned job observation, rules and practices, job analysis/procedures, disposal procedures, and protective equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with governmental regulatory agencies.
  • Identify causes of past accidents and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
  • Lead and direct the work of others, including security personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of safety and security initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area, such as safety management, security management, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the field of safety and security, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety and security programs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures within the healthcare industry.
